MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Greetings from the Philippine College of Canine Practitioners, Inc. (PCCP), the pioneering veterinary specialty college in the Philippines. The small animal practice in the country is rapidly expanding. Currently, canine species still appear to be the most dominant species that numerous Filipino veterinarians are engaged with. However, as more Filipino households own dogs, the need for veterinarians to advance their practices further also grows. On the other hand, the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) has advocated for professional specialization because of the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF) and the ASEAN integration, where veterinarians from other ASEAN countries will be allowed to practice in the country in the future.

PCCP provides the platform for advancing the canine practice in the Philippines through trainings and seminars. It can provide networking of its members, including mentorship. Moreover, best practices within the country can be openly shared among its members, especially guided by the expertise and wisdom of pioneering practitioners (senior PCCP diplomates and fellows). Finally, deserving candidates can be conferred with Diplomate and Fellow Status in recognition of their technical expertise, qualifications, and achievements. 

We invite fellow Filipino veterinarians in the canine practice to join PCCP as a member. We hope to see you in the different activities. We are also very open to collaborating with any institution, company, or organization that will help advance the Filipino veterinary canine practice.
