A cross-national research project on social media, civic engagement, and global political action
Project Overview
The Political Consumption in Comparative Perspective (PCCP) project addresses social media use, environmental values, participation in consumer boycotts and buycotts, and other global political activities.
Led by Dr. Shelley Boulianne, the project brings together an international research team to primarily analyze cross-national survey data and better understand how citizens use consumption as a form of political participation. Survey data are supplemented with social media trace data and an analysis of other online and news content.
