How often does PBEP fundraise and distribute funds?
Quarterly:
Q1 Jan-March
Q2 April-June
Q3 July -Sept
Q4 Oct-Dec
Fundraising is ongoing and stipends are distributed at the end of the quarter depending on the availability of funds. Timelines for disbursement may vary based on the volume of applicants and the availability of funds.
How many recipients are selected per quarter?
The amount of quarterly recipients selected varies and depends on how much we are able to fundraise in that quarter.
How are recipients selected?
Recipients who apply within the application window for a given quarter are selected at random to avoid any biases or conflicts of interest. PBEP’s Leadership Team then votes to approve the disbursement of funds, and the stipend request is submitted and processed through our fiscal sponsor Raft Foundation.
Can I reapply if I am not selected?
If you are not selected you will automatically be considered amongst the next quarter of applicants. You will not need to reapply.
Can I reapply if I am selected?
No, our mutual aid funds are a one-time stipend built with the intention to help as many as we can with limited resources and organizing capacity.
