Elevator Pitch

Date: 1st of October at 17:00-18:00hs.

Sometimes the carrier's faith may be decided during a very short conversation. In that sense, the Elevator Pitch is an arena to train your communication skills so you are prepared for that moment.

These are the session's rules!

• Presentations will be organized in a strict queue.
• Each participant will have 1 minute and 30 seconds to share its research.
• There will be a chronometer and a bell, once the time is over we'll move to the next speaker. We'll be very strict with time, no extra second is allowed!
• Only ONE static PDF slide (without movies or animations) is allowed as supporting material for describing the work.
• A presentation slide including name and affiliation will be provided by organizers for each participant.
• The language during oral presentations could be Spanish, Portuguese or English, however we prefer using the later for any text in the slide.
• A jury will select the top 10 talks for full presentations of 15 min + 5 of questions the last day of the meeting during the "Young Scientists" session. The best talk of that session will get the PeerJ Award.

Unselected works could be share at Laptop-Coffee sessions.

Rules for the audience!

• Keep the applause for the end.
• Save the questions for Social Time and Laptop Coffee.

Some recommendations!

• Prepare and train your speech.
• Bring your supporting speech in case you get into panic.
• Be focused on transmitting a clear idea and a strong message to convince the jury.
• Remember, sometimes less is more...
