What is Payday?

Payday is a salary allocation planner that helps you decide where every dollar goes before you spend it. Unlike traditional budget trackers, Payday focuses on planning your income forward with AI-powered assistance.

Is Payday free?

Yes. Payday is free to download and use with the following limits: 2 monthly plans, 3 savings goals, 5 AI conversations per month, 15 expenses per month, and 1 scenario. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited access.

What does Pro include?

Pro unlocks unlimited monthly plans, unlimited goals, unlimited AI conversations, unlimited expenses, unlimited scenarios, CSV and PDF export, JSON backup and restore, and Financial Health Score.

How much does Pro cost?

Pro Monthly is $4.99 per month. Pro Yearly is $39.99 per year, which saves you 33 percent compared to monthly billing.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap your name at the top. Tap Subscriptions. Find Payday AI Planner and tap Cancel Subscription.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Payday. Go to Settings. Tap Restore Purchases. Your Pro subscription will be restored if you have an active subscription linked to your Apple ID.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All your financial data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers. There are no ads and no third-party tracking.

What is the AI feature?

Payday uses AI to help you plan your finances. You can type or speak your expenses in natural language and the AI will organize them into categories. The AI also provides a Financial Health Score, spending optimization suggestions, and installment purchase simulations.

Do I need an API key?

No. AI features work without entering your own API key. However, you can optionally enter your own Claude API key in Settings for uninterrupted AI access. Get a key at console.anthropic.com.

What currencies are supported?

Payday supports over 150 currencies worldwide with automatic locale detection and formatting. You can search currencies by name, code, or symbol.

Does Payday work on iPad?

Yes. Payday has optimized layouts for both iPhone and iPad with full feature support on both devices.

How do I export my data?

With a Pro subscription, you can export your plans as CSV or PDF reports. You can also create a full JSON backup of all your data from the Settings page.

App Not Working?

If you are experiencing issues with the app, try the following steps:

1. Make sure you are running the latest version of Payday from the App Store

2. Make sure your device is running iOS 18 or later

3. Try closing and reopening the app

4. Restart your device

5. Delete and reinstall the app (note: this will delete locally stored data unless you have a JSON backup)
