1. Why is a fresh food diet good for dogs?
A fresh food diet gives your dog what kibble can’t — real nutrition from real food. Here’s why it makes a difference:
✅ Better digestion – Fresh, whole ingredients
are gentler on your dog’s stomach.
✅ Shinier coat & healthier skin – Thanks to
natural oils, vitamins, and minerals.
✅ More energy & vitality – No fillers means
more bioavailable nutrients per bite.
✅ Smaller, less smelly poop – Their body
absorbs more of what it needs.
✅ Long-term wellness – Real food supports
stronger immunity, joints, and organ health.
Think of it this way: would you feel your best eating only processed food every day? Your pup deserves real food too — made fresh, balanced, and species-appropriate.
2. What ingredients do you use?
At Pawty Dog Food, we use only the freshest, human-grade ingredients that we would proudly serve on our own plates.
Our recipes are made from:
✅ Premium cuts of meat like pork tenderloin, chicken breast, lamb leg, and kangaroo — great sources of lean protein.
🫀 Nutrient-rich organs such as liver, heart, spleen, and kidney — loaded with essential vitamins and minerals.
🥦 Fresh vegetables including broccoli, lotus root, French beans, and shiitake mushrooms — for fiber, antioxidants, and immune support.
🌱 Natural supplements like flaxseed, turmeric, psyllium husk, and kelp — to support digestion, joints, skin, and coat.
We never use:
❌ Preservatives
❌ Artificial additives
❌ By-products
❌ Fillers like corn, soy, or wheat
All our ingredients are carefully chosen to support optimal health, digestion, and vitality in dogs of all breeds and ages. Our food is gently cooked to preserve nutrients while ensuring safety and palatability.
🧂 3. Why do we add salt?
We include a tiny, safe amount of natural sea salt in our recipes to help meet your dog’s essential electrolyte and mineral needs, especially:
🧂 Sodium & chloride – Crucial for healthy cell function, hydration, and nerve activity.
🦴 Helps balance minerals like calcium and potassium in a fresh food diet.
Don’t worry — we carefully calculate the amount to ensure it’s well within safe limits for dogs. It’s not added for flavor, but for nutritional completeness.
4. Can I mix Pawty meals with kibble?
Yes, you can! Mixing Pawty’s fresh cooked meals with your dog’s kibble is a great way to introduce real, nutrient-rich food into their diet — especially if you’re not ready to fully transition yet.
💡 Why mix?
✅ Adds moisture – Fresh food is hydrating, while kibble is dry and can strain kidneys over time.
✅ Boosts nutrition – Even a partial fresh food diet adds real proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
✅ Picky eater approved – Mixing Pawty meals in can make kibble more enticing.
✅ Gentle transition – It helps avoid digestive upset when moving away from ultra-processed food.
🐶 How to do it:
Start with a 25% Pawty / 75% kibble mix, and gradually increase the fresh portion over a week. Always monitor your dog’s poop, energy, and appetite during the switch.
Some pawrents stay at 50/50, others fully transition — it’s all about what works best for your pup and lifestyle.
5. Do you cater for dogs with allergies or special needs?

6. Do I need to cook or heat the food again?
Our food is fully cooked and ready to eat! You can serve it cold, at room temp, or gently warmed (not hot).
7. How do I store the food?
Sealed fresh and individually packed in your selected portions to preserve quality.
❄️ Frozen: Store sealed packs in the freezer.
🧊 Fridge: Once thawed, keep in the fridge and use within 2–3 days.
⚠️ Do not refreeze thawed food.
Once served, any leftover food in your dog’s bowl should be discarded within 15–20 minutes, especially if left at room temperature. This helps prevent bacterial growth and keeps mealtime safe.
If you’ve thawed more than you need but haven’t served it yet, return the unused portion to the fridge immediately. Store it in an airtight container and keep it separate from other food to avoid cross-contamination.
