1. Acceptance By downloading or using Pawsteps, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Service Description Pawsteps estimates dog steps using Apple Health walking data plus breed-specific logic, shows activity history, and manages reminders. It is informational only and not veterinary advice.
3. Eligibility You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your region) and legally able to agree to these Terms.
4. Accounts & Security You're responsible for keeping your device/account secure and for all activity under it. Notify us of unauthorized use.
5. Subscriptions & Payments If you purchase a subscription, Apple's App Store terms apply. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or Apple's policies. Features may require an active subscription.
6. Health & Safety Consult a veterinarian before changing your dog's activity. Use the app at your own risk; pay attention to surroundings when walking.
7. Acceptable Use Do not misuse the app (e.g., reverse engineer, disrupt, send malware, infringe IP, or violate laws). Do not use the app to track or profile others without consent.
8. Intellectual Property We own the app and its content except user content you provide. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app.
9. Third-Party Services The app relies on third-party services (e.g., Apple for notifications). Their terms and privacy policies may apply.
10. Disclaimers The app is provided "as is" without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee accuracy of step estimates or uninterrupted service.
11. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for claims related to the app will not exceed the amount you paid to use the app in the 3 months prior to the claim (or USD $0 if none).
12. Indemnity You agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or for safety/legal reasons.
14. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms; continued use after updates means you accept the new terms. Material changes may be communicated in-app.
15. Governing Law & Disputes These Terms shall be governed by the laws of United Kingdom. Local mandatory consumer laws still apply.
