This is my boy Koa. He is a former rescue foster fail. I adopted him from Cherished K-9s All Breed Rescue a great rescue in Southern New Mexico.

Hi, I am Regina Belford. I am a recently retired DoD Civil Servant. My last duty station was at the White Sands Missile Range in Southern New Mexico where I worked in Government Contracting.
I was born and raised in Pittsfield, MA., and I have a degree in English from MCLA in North Adams, MA. In 1992 I joined the Army. I spent 5 years in the Active Army prior to being hired in the Civil Service. I spent 30 years in the beautiful deserts of AZ and NM prior to my retirement. In May of 2022, my daughter and I relocated to the Capital District to be closer to my home and family.
I now reside in Schenectady with my dogs Carly (chihuahua) and Koa (pit mix) and newly adopted Tater. My daughter Nicole lives nearby and I watch her dog Spencer while she is at work.
I have been active in rescue and fostering for the past 9 years. In NM, I fostered and volunteered with both the Cherished K-9 All Breed Rescue and the I'm Almost Home rescue out of Southern NM. Once settled here, I began fostering for the Homeward Bound Rescue of NY. I may still foster when my schedule allows. I have fostered senior and adult dogs, puppies and even pregnant and nursing mommas and her babies.
In the summer of2024 I started boarding and offering daycare. My first customers included former Homeward Bound fosters and then I put my name on Rover. Things really picked up and I have been kept pretty busy. I love taking care of the pups of all ages and I enjoy making new friends with their owners.
