Terms of Service — PawMap

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using PawMap, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Who Can Use PawMap
PawMap is intended for users aged 18 and above. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide (name, contact details, location) is accurate.
3. Account Types and Responsibilities
Feeders, Volunteers & Rescuers register to log feeding check-ins, report emergencies, and coordinate with shelters and vets.
Shelters & Animal NGOs register to list their organization, post support requests, and coordinate volunteers.
Veterinarians register to list their services and respond to nearby emergency reports.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your name, location, contact number, and any services or credentials you list. Your registered name cannot be changed after account creation.
4. Verification
PawMap does not automatically verify the credentials of shelters or veterinarians. A "Verified ✓" badge indicates that PawMap has manually reviewed submitted registration documents, but users are encouraged to exercise their own judgment before relying on any listing, verified or not.
5. Emergency Reports and Responses
Emergency reports and responses (including "I Want to Help" and "I'm Treating This") are coordination tools between users. PawMap does not guarantee that any shelter, vet, or volunteer will respond, nor does it verify the outcome of any reported case. Users coordinating in person do so at their own discretion and should exercise reasonable caution, particularly when meeting unfamiliar contacts.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Submit false emergency reports or fabricated information
Impersonate a shelter, veterinarian, or organization you are not affiliated with
Use contact information shared through the app for purposes unrelated to animal welfare coordination
Harass, threaten, or misuse the platform to harm other users
7. Content and Data
You retain ownership of the information you submit, but grant PawMap the right to display it within the app as described in our Privacy Policy (for example, feeding zones on the map, shelter/vet listings in the Directory).
8. Limitation of Liability
PawMap is a community coordination tool provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawMap and its developer are not liable for any loss, injury, dispute, or damage arising from interactions, coordination, or reliance on information shared through the app.
9. Account Suspension
PawMap reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, submit fraudulent information, or misuse the platform.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
