I grew up mostly in Moscow but spent a few summers with my grandparents in Lviv, Ukraine. Ending the War in Ukraine and helping alleviate the humanitarian crisis unfolding there should concern anyone who cares about leaving the world in a better condition than they found it. I see several ways of moving toward these goals:

  • Original data at the National Bank of Ukraine (files are only available in Ukrainian)

  • Matlab code for creating a full panel of bank-month observations at the mid-granular "rozdil" level

  • Excel file with the bank-month observations at the "rozdil" level

Public outreach: It was an honor to deliver a presentation titled "The War in Ukraine: Why Did It Start and How Does It End?" to the 2023 Meeting of the Friends of Woodstock School (see the file below)
