**Paul the Missionary** traces the three missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul
across a hand-drawn parchment map of the ancient Mediterranean. Choose a journey,
play it, and watch the route unfold stop by stop, with the account from Acts and
photographs of each site as it stands today.

## Frequently asked questions
**Does the app need an internet connection?**
No. The map, the routes, the text, and every photograph are built into the app.
It works fully offline, including on a plane or abroad with data switched off.
The only exception is the "Source" link under a full-screen photograph, which
opens Wikimedia Commons in Safari and needs a connection.
**Does the app cost anything, or contain purchases?**
No. The app is free, and there are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no
advertising.
**Do I need an account?**
No. There is nothing to sign up for and no sign-in of any kind.
**Where do the routes and the stops come from?**
The journeys follow the account in the Acts of the Apostles, with the sequence of
stops and the places named there. Where Acts names a port or a city, the map puts
it at its known archaeological location.
**Where do the site photographs come from?**
Each photograph is in the public domain or carries a Creative Commons licence
that permits reuse. The photographer and the licence appear beneath every picture,
and the "Source" link opens the original file on Wikimedia Commons. A few stops —
Pisidian Antioch, Lystra, Berea, and Samothracia — have no photograph, because
freely licensed photography of those sites is not available.
**I think a place, date, or detail is wrong.**
Please tell us. Email appianwayapps@gmail.com with the journey, the stop, and
what you believe the correction should be. Corrections to the historical and
geographical material are taken seriously and are included in later updates.
**Does the app work with VoiceOver and larger text?**
The app is built to support VoiceOver, and the photographs, controls, and stop
details carry spoken labels. If you meet something that reads poorly or cannot be
reached, please report it to the email above — accessibility problems are treated
as bugs.
**How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?**
The same address: appianwayapps@gmail.com. There is no separate tracker.
