Hello!
I'm Paul T Baker. I'm an assistant professor of physics at Widener University in Chester, PA. My favorite class to teach is Modern Physics, where second year undergraduates learn about special relativity and quantum mechanics. Besides teaching, I study gravitational waves. Particularly, I'm interested in data analysis methods to detect and characterize gravitational waves. I'm currently the co-chair of the Gravitational Wave Analysis (GWA) working group of the International Pulsar Timing Array (IPTA).
Before coming to Widener I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Gravitational Waves and Cosmology at West Virginia University. I also worked as a visiting assistant professor at SUNY Geneseo, a public liberal arts college that is home to one of the largest undergrad physics departments in the country.
