I am a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and a core faculty member of its Graduate Program in Economics. I also serve as Director of NEDLab, a research group devoted to study nonlinear economic dynamics.
My research lies at the intersection of macroeconomics, mathematical economics, and nonlinear dynamics. I study how financial frictions, heterogeneity, expectations, state dependence, and feedback mechanisms shape aggregate fluctuations, instability, and regime change. My work is primarily theoretical and uses recursive methods, nonlinear dynamic models, and computational tools to address substantive questions in macroeconomics and macro-finance.
