After finishing the CELTA course in London, which I started while doing my finals at Univeristy in Liverpool (yes, I do tend to enjoy doing several things at once), I moved to Murcia, Spain to start my first teaching job.
After just two years I was offered the position of DOS/Manager of the school and had even put a deposit on a house. However, the offer of a General/Exam and Business English teaching position in my wife's native town of Cordoba was an offer that I am glad I finally (albeit with some difficulty) accepted.
I have lived in the enchanting town of Cordoba, Spain since 1999 in a neighbourhood whose streets are lined with orange trees. I have adapted well and my many friends say I'm one of them now and they wouldn't let me leave for the world! I think they're just being nice!
Logistically it's very well-connected to the capital and to international airports while at the same time offering a safe, friendly and picturesque environment to bring up a family. It's no wonder it's one of the top 3 cities in Spain with a very high quality of life even though it can get a little a sticky in the summer months! Have a look at some the pics I've taken while here to see what I mean.
