About Paula

  • Paula graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 1984. In Utah her work included labor & delivery, postpartum & nursery, and medical/surgical. She also taught nursing at the community college.
  • When her family moved to Idaho, she was the camp nurse at the Boy Scouts of America camp.
  • After moving to Payette she began working at Weiser Memorial. During her last year working there, 2006, she was nominated for a nursing of the year award.
  • These photos are from 2006 when she helped the Friends of the Payette Public Library with their Apple Blossom Parade. She was the president for several years, even phoning in from bed when she was unable to get out for the meetings. This parade was the last one she attended before being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in January of 2007. She loved reading and had a small library of her own at home.
