Synopsis
Paul Yoo is originally trained as an AI and Data Scientist with PhD in machine learning. His research advances frontier methods in AI-agents, predictive analytics, and strategic forecasting, and has been recently recognised through NATO funding for pioneering big‑data‑driven forecasting methodologies. He has authored over 100 publications in leading journals and conferences and has secured more than US $3.5 million in competitive research funding as Principal Investigator. His work has received several prestigious awards, including the IEEE Award, the Rozetta Award, and the Samsung Award. His research portfolio features extensive international collaborations (including the LSE School of Management, UCL Hospitals, LSHTM-ICED, Samsung, and the UK Cabinet Office), with particular emphasis on technology forecasting in areas such as defence and healthcare to support strategic decision‑making and sustainable organisational growth.
Paul currently serves as an Editor for Nature (Scientific Reports) (Q1), and ACM Computing Surveys (Q1). He has previously served as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Computing (Q1), IEEE COMML (Q1) and IEEE Access (Q1). He is also affiliated with the University of Sydney (Australia), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Khalifa University of Science and Technology (UAE) and Hanyang University College of Medicine (Korea), as a Visiting Professor. Paul is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Fellow of HEA.

Consultancy
Paul recently launched a new business consultancy service for the Centre for Professional Development (CfPD) and BIDA+, called the AI and Data Analytics Clinic. He has published a blog with more information on this new venture.
