Important Information

An extension of stay based on retirement is commonly known as a retirement visa and available to foreign nationals who meet the following criteria

• Are over 50 years of age.
• Currently hold a Non-Immigrant O-A visa.
• Have an income of 65,000 THB per month or 800,000 THB deposited in a Thai bank account, or a combination of the two.
• Hold a valid passport with at least one year’s validity remaining.

Have proof of permanent address in Thailand

**Please note that you can't legally work in Thailand if you have and extension of stay based on retirement.

Documents Required

• Passport with validity of minimum 1 Year and 2 blank pages.
• 2 Photographs.
• Visa forms.
• Copy of current Non-Immigrant O-A Visa along passport copies (and other visa pages if any)
• Bank guarantee of minimum 800,000.00 THB deposited in a Thai bank account under applicant's name.
