Things you need to know about The Thai Marriage Visa

• Thailand marriage visa is the popular term for "1-Year Extension of Stay Based on Marriage".
• This is a long term Thai visa issued to a foreign national who is married to a Thai and meets the other requirements of the immigration bureau.
• The Thai marriage visa holder is entitled permission to stay for a full year in Thailand without the need to exit the country.
• The visa is renewable every year and the renewal process can be done inside Thailand (requirements for the visa renewal still apply).
• The Thailand Marriage Visa also allows the holder to work in Thailand when the visa holder is able to obtain a valid Thai Work Permit to go along with the visa.

This is considered an advantage to prospective foreigner employees as the employer would only have to be concerned about the procurement of work permit.

Non-Immigrant O Visa 90 Days Extension

• You can apply for Non-Immigrant O (Marriage) Visa in your home country after you complete marriage process with your Thai Partner.
• You can also change your Visa to Non-Immigrant O Visa in Thailand.
  • You will need to submit following:
    • Immigration forms.
    • 2 photos.
    • Marriage documents.
    • Documents for your Thai partner i.e. copies of ID Card, ID Card Registration Book, Passport.
    • Copy of passport front page along with other visa pages
    • Bank guarantee of 400,000.00 THB deposited in a Thai bank account under applicant's name for last 60 days minimum.
    • Documents of your residence in Thailand.
    • Photos of his/her with wife/husband at your residence.

Non-Immigrant O Visa 1 Year Extension

• Must be married to a Thai national

This is substantiated through a Marriage Certificate. There are instances (depending on the processing immigration office) when a copy of an Affirmation of Freedom to Marry is also required. This affirmation is obtained by the foreigner from his embassy in Thailand.

• Must meet the financial requirement
  • Bank guarantee of 400,000 THB in a Thai Bank Account under applicant's name for at least 2 months prior to the visa application; or
  • Work Permit Monthly income of at least THB 40,000.
• Supporting documents as proof of the security deposit in a Thai bank are as follows:
  • Updated bank book or passbook
  • Bank letter stating that the money had been deposited to the account from an overseas source for not less than 2 months.
• Address documents and photos of residence in Thailand.
• Photos of his/her with wife/husband at your residence.
• Copy of passport front page along with current Non-Immigrant O Visa page.

Things you need to know about Non-Immigrant O Follow Visa

• You can stay in Thailand with your loved one who is working here in Thailand with proper visa and legal process.
• Work is prohibited on this visa, if you wish to work, you will need to get Non Immigrant-B visa with a Work Permit to work in Thailand.
• This visa is only issued to family members of person working in Thailand with legal processes (Family members including children under 18 years old, wife/husband and parents over age of 50 years)

Non-Immigrant O Visa 90 Days Extension

• You can apply for Non-Immigrant O (Follow) Visa in your home country with all required documents by Embassy.
• You can also change your Tourist Visa to Non-Immigrant O Visa in Thailand.
  • You will need to submit following:
    • Immigration forms.
    • 2 photos.
    • Marriage prof(for husband/wife), Birth Certificate(for children).
    • Copy of Visa, Work Permit and Documents of company your family member working in.
    • Documents of Personal Tax paid by person working in Thailand.

Non-Immigrant O Visa 1 Year Extension

• You will need to submit following:
  • Immigration forms.
  • 2 photos.
  • Marriage prof(for husband/wife), Birth Certificate(for children).
  • Copy of Visa, Work Permit and Documents of company your family member working in along with your current Non-Immigrant O Visa.
  • Documents of Personal Tax paid by person working in Thailand.

Note: Follow visa is issued same as visa of person working in Thailand, Visa expiry date of given follow Visa will be same as of visa for person working in Thailand.
