Dr. Patricia Kwakye-Boateng
Mechanical Engineering Lecturer | Sustainable Cooling Researcher | STEM Outreach Advocate.
Welcome — I’m Dr Patricia Kwakye-Boateng, a mechanical engineering lecturer and a researcher based in Ghana. My work focuses on sustainable cooling, adsorption systems and the productive use of low-grade heat technologies.
My work sits at the intersection of engineering, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility, with a focus on developing practical solutions for hot-climate and resource-constrained contexts.
Beyond research and teaching, I am deeply committed to STEM education and community engagement. Through initiatives such as ASHRAE Ghana Student Activities, school outreach programs, and AkuaBa STEM Girls, I work to inspire young people, especially girls to see themselves as future engineers, scientists, and innovators.
This site brings together my academic work, publications, teaching, and outreach activities. I welcome collaboration in research, supervision, invited talks, and STEM partnerships.
