An Appeal to All

The situation in India getting worse day by day. Life of our Yakshagana artists has become troublesome, disturbing, and concerning. Some of these artists exclusively depend on daily performance for their livelihood are now struggling to meet ends without participation in a mela or any program. Under these circumstances, the Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation Mangalore with the support of its well-wishers came forward to help these artists as they have done earlier. You must have heard the support we provided by various social media by now. So far, the foundation has distributed 25kgs of rice and other essentials equivalent to about Rs 2000 per person to nearly 800-1000 artists in and around Mangalore, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts, to both Thenku and Badagu artists. Many well-wishers have appreciated and donated for the work we have done earlier for disadvantaged artists. Now, many of you are also inquiring how to help Yakshagana artists during present covid-19 struggle.
