About the Trust

Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation Trust was established on September 14, 2015 in Mangalore. The main goal of this foundation is to assist and support the real needy artistes of ‘Yakshagana’. Today the Foundation has over 30 chapters across the globe.

Patla Foundation Trust has launched a series of measures to aid the artists to recognize their contribution to the art. Foundation and its local chapters have distributed monetary assistance, accidental Insurance, medical assistance, accidental benefits and monetary contribution to build houses to many artists. Artistes children who have excelled in academics have been honored with scholarships. Families of the needy artistes also received medical assistance as required. With the help of generous donations from the well wishers of the foundation, over 30 million rupees have been donated to various artists and their families.

Under the Yaksha Ashraya Yojane, the foundation has planned for at least 100 houses for those needy artists who do not have proper housing facility. So far three houses have been completed.

Foundation has also held blood donation programmes, donated to the natural disaster causes as needed.
