Battle of the force

Battle of the force is a combat space shooter game with the story about 2 twin brothers who fight against each other in a duel of their farther last will that the strongest of them will take on his throne and become the king of Gradus empire. The challenge take place in the outer space where meteorite is all over the place. The mood of the game should focus on Tension from all the obstacle and Confusion from the event that happen in the same time.

Battle of the force is a 2-player top-down combat game that player will get to play as a twin brothers name Walter and Louis (Walter will be representing with red color and Louis with Blue) who fight each other for their father’s throne. This game is inspired by Tilt To Live where player have been put against a lot of object that require a heave brain attention in the same time make it harder for player to survive and create more tension to the game than just to attack each other’s. The art style for the story is inspired by Ib in the art gallery that give player a dark and scary theme and mood to help add the tension to the game. The game art style is inspired by Thunder strike by using the bright color to make in contrast from the rest of the game make is easier to play the game without disturbing the mood of the story and theme.

• Domination: By having a rematch button at the end of the match enforcing player to make a vengeance on the opponent.
• Disruption: By giving a lot of object that require a heave brain attention in the same time create confusion for the opponent and item that will be spawning every 5 second create a big distraction for the player from the fight.
• Persuasion: By having a conflict between object in the map (ex. Bullet can’t shoot through rock, Bullet can destroy item, etc.) create an argument between object and also the player when they have to fight for the same item without destroying them.

• Movement: By using a Left joystick give player more control of the character and more space for the game designer to put in more mechanic.
• Aiming: By using a Right joystick give player a flexibility to shoot at the target and make player control more thing in the same time to create a confusion for the player.
• Shooting: By using a L2/R2 Button to shoot the unlimited laser bullet with damage of 5(lowest damage in the game) and little shake (to make aiming harder) that can destroy the item. Because the bullet can destroy the item force player to think before randomly shoot and make limited bullet unnecessary which give player an illusion that it’s their decision not to shoot not a game limitation.
• Spawning item: every 5 second there will be an item that randomly spawn on the map to distract player from what they were doing and give a disadvantage player a change to bump back to the equaling advantage.
• Item Effect: there will be 2 type of a difference item that can be randomly spawn in the map area.
  • +HP (Green): this item restores +10HP to the collector.
  • -HP (Pink): this item creates a homing missile that deal-10 Damage to the opponent if it hit. Player can prevent them by run close to the meteorite and make it hit meteorite instead. This mechanic make player take on a risk to be hit by both or don’t get hit at all.
• Meteorite spawning: a meteorite that randomly spawn in the vertical way to help limit the battle area and help player create a tactic to dodge the bullet by hiding behind the meteorite.

Now the time has come, following the death of the emperor of Gradus empire.

A spaceship battle between two Gradus princes is going down.

The two brothers need to duel each other out to determine the worthy candidate for Emperor title because their father dying wish was for the only strongest between the two can take his throne.

The clash between two different ideologies even though they’re from the same blood.

Prince Walter, who believe that peace can only achieve by power and fear, his dark, bloody eyes reflects his hot blood personality. He wants to conquer all and make Gradus the greatest in the universe.

Prince Louis, who believe that peace only comes from love and kindness, his light green eyes telling his determination to stopping his war addict brother plan and for the greater good of the universe.

Who will become the victor?

At last, Walter able to come out on top of Louis. He is excited to start a galaxy crusade to make Gradus empire the greatest in the universe.

At the end following the defeated of Walter, Louis becomes the new emperor and lead Gradus empire with peace and love.

The main character theme is Twin, they have same kind of hair style, and face. The only difference are their Hair color and eye color.
