Conditions

In accordance with the agreement between Past & Future (P&F) and Archdiocesan Archive in Gniezno, signed on 24 January 2012, P&F is the sole company which provides genealogical research services in lieu of the Archive. Any requests will be carried out based on the following conditions:

  • P&F provides genealogical research services only for personal use, any requests pertinent to civil or legal matters and scientific researches are reserved exclusively for the Archive
  • Requests for research can be submitted via email or by snail mail using the form located on our website
  • If a request is accepted, the requester will be notified by phone or by email
  • Please note that a lack of response does not necessarily mean that the request has not been received, but may mean that its execution is delayed due to an excessive number of requests
  • After receiving the confirmation of services, the payment has to be transferred to the P&F account number
  • Results of research may be sent in electronic form via email or in print-out format via registered mail. The form of results delivery has to be indicated by the requester. P&F is not responsible for any possible problems occurred during the electronic transmission
  • The requester bears all costs related to printing and sending of results by registered mail
  • Results contain only digital copies of researched data or direct excerpts which are not certified by the Archive
  • P&F for the purpose of providing its services, gathers all data pertinent to requester’s personal information (name, surname and address) in the database. In case of termination of the contract with the Archive, this database will be remitted to the Archive
  • Price list of P&F services will be provided upon request by e-mail or snail mail
  • Usual time for the research does not exceed 2 months and P&F makes all efforts to reduce this period
  • The requester has 40 days from the date of sending the research’s results to question the final results of the research
  • The Archive and P&F are separate entities and they are not responsible for any actions done by the signatories of the agreement from 24 January 2012
