What we are not

• PASS39 is not the answer to every need. It is a connector that helps families find the people, resources, relationships, and community that already exist.

• Because PASS39 is a parent-led, volunteer-run organization, we’re not in a position to advise families about an individual child’s placement, services, or what a particular school or district should be providing. We also aren’t legal or special education experts, so we wouldn’t want to provide information that might be incomplete or misleading.

• Questions about your child’s individual needs, available programming, placement options, or how Illinois requirements apply to your particular situation would really be directed to your child’s school team and the District 39 Student Services department. From our experience, they are the most appropriate resources to speak with you about your child’s circumstances and the options available within the district.
