Outreach

Apart from basic scientific research, I have also been involved in several outreach activities at IIT-Indore. This includes, both, Astronomy and Science outreach.

International Astronomical Union - 100 Hours of Astronomy

In January 2019, our team won a telescope competition organised by IAU100, Belgian initiative Sterren Schitteren voor Iedereen (SSVI) and Universe Awareness (UNAWE). We then organised a 3-day outreach event called 'Reaching for the Stars', for students in and around Indore.

GGSY - Student Solar Ambassador

In October 2019, IIT Indore organised the Student Solar Ambassador Workshop, an initiative by IIT Bombay towards Energy Swaraj. At it's core, the idea promotes the Gandhian principle of "not mass production, but production by the masses".

Bapu Khagol Mela

In December 2018, Astronomy club and the (then) Center of Astronomy jointly organised the Bapu Khagol Mela with the Nehru Planetarium. We taught and explained various science and astronomy concepts to students from different schools across Indore.

Others

From time to time we also organise science outreach events in IIT-I campus and in schools around Indore.
