Hi, I'm Parul Janagal, a Ph.D. Research Scholar from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore.

Welcome to my profile.

About Me

Hi there!

I am Parul Janagal. I was born in a small town in Haryana, in the 20th century. Like any other kid I was curious about everything around me and questioned it. My love affair with astronomy started early in life and after coming to college, I decided to take it seriously. Now, here I am, pursuing a doctorate in Astronomy at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore. I've varied interests, other than Astronomy, including Psychology, Neuroscience, History, Archaeology, Artificial Intelligence, Arts, etc. I also like teaching and therefore try to devote time towards Outreach. In my free time, one can find me sipping tea with friends or with a book.

I'm fond of learning languages and therefore tried (and failed) learning many languages like Urdu, Punjabi, French, etc. I'm currently trying to learn Malayalam. I'm fluent in Hindi and English, and apart from that, I'm also a proud Parselmouth, i.e. I can fluently converse with computers in Python (parseltongue).
