Have Volunteers Table at Your Party or Event with Harm Reduction Resources
Volunteers are student community members who are educated and equipped to respond to drug related emergencies. They operate in accordance with Good Samaritan Laws in a non school related capacity, are not formally associated with Lewis & Clark College in this role, and the college takes no liability for their actions.
What we can do
Provide food and water, naloxone, safer use supplies, drug checking equipment, CPR face shields, and drug related education resources to you and your guests
Respond to the best of of ability, within our comfort level to drug related emergencies that may happen at your parties
Provide peer support to party guests who may need it to the best of our abilities
Assist party hosts with law enforcement interactions
What we can't do
Provide drugs or contact information of drug dealers
Clean up after the event
Remove people from the event
Respond to threats of violence that put the safety of our volunteers at risk
When we call 911
Following an opioid overdose or alcohol poisoning
Following other drug and non drug related health emergencies
Following credible threats of violence or occurrences of violence that we deem beyond the scope of our abilities to de-escalate
