When I need a break from academic texts, I turn to fiction, particularly the mystery and high fantasy genres. I am currently making my way through Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series, which is a fantastic exercise in following complex plot threads and character arcs. On the other end of the spectrum, I enjoy the intellectual challenge of a classic detective story, where I can test my own deductive reasoning against the narrative's puzzle. This hobby allows me to exercise both my creative and analytical sides.
For several years, a daily practice of yoga and meditation was a foundational part of my routine at IISER Mohali. This disciplined practice instilled in me a deep sense of focus, stability, and the ability to manage stress effectively. While my daily schedule has shifted and I have lost touch with the routine, I carry the principles of mindfulness and balance with me every day. I am committed to getting back on the mat and reconnecting with this essential practice.
I enjoy studying the history of mathematicians, their personal stories, and the context behind major discoveries (e.g., the discovery of zero, the discovery of Quaternions). This interest highlights the creative and humanistic side of mathematical thought.
