I am Partha Kumbhakar, currently a Research Associate at the IISc, Bangalore working under Prof. Arvind Ayyer.
I completed my PhD in Mathematics at the IISER Mohali under the supervision of Dr. Varadharaj R. Srinivasan.
My research lies in differential algebra and focuses on algebraic differential equations within the frameworks of differential Galois theory, algebraic geometry, and model theory.
Further details can be found on my research page and in my CV.
Upcoming Activities
May, 2026: Presenting a poster at the Workshop on Differential Algebra and Related Seminar (DART XIV), île d'Oléron, France.
July, 2026: Speaking and presenting a poster at the Conference on Foundations of Computational Mathematics (FOCM’26), Vienna, Austria.
Recent Articles
2026: When can all solutions of the logarithmic-differential pullback system
x'=f(x), y'=xy
be written as an algebraic function of finitely many fixed solutions and finitely many constants. This question is addressed in my paper "A Note on Internality of Certain Differential Systems."
2025: How to effectively solve and determine algebraic dependence relations among solutions of
t'=f(t),
where f or 1/f is a Laurent polynomial over ℂ?. This problem is investigated in my paper "New and General Type Meromorphic 1-forms on Curves."
