Stay involved with the development of the E. Longview Ave. Neighborhood Greenway concept development. Submit your feedback to the first draft plan and/or attend an upcoming meeting. (see project page for meeting dates).
Feedback on this draft is being collected by the City and will be shared with the Neighborhood prior to the Sept 9 presentation at the Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety Commission meeting for approval.Â

Utilities & engineering determined that rain gardens were not a viable option along the Greenway due to location topography.
A few items that need more expressed feedback:
Would you prefer to see speed cushions (with 4' space on either side) or speed humps (like the ones currently installed) as the traffic calming device onlong the greenway?
Would you like to see Limestone blocks installed along the speed cushion/hump locations along the greenway?
FEEDBACK SUBMISSIONS
ACCESSIBILITY & SAFETY
Design that prioritizes universal accessibility and safety. We have many neighbors who are more vulnerable as pedestrians on our roads (wheelchair, children at the park, elderly, etc.) and would like for this to be a top consideration.
PRIORITIZE PEDESTRIANS
Design should be considerate of lack of sidewalks and heavy pedestrian use of the route and need to not choke the road and push pedestrians into bike and car traffic.
PRIORITIZE INTERSECTIONS & INCLUDE STORMWATER MITIGATION
Neighbors expressed the most concerns about intersections along the route and the ability to focus traffic calming elements and high cost elements at those locations. Integrating any solutions to facilitate Stormwater drainage would also be beneficial.
CONSISTENT DESIGN
Desire for consistency along the Greenway in terms of design and traffic calming elements. eg. similar treatments at all intersections to build expectation of navigation for all transportation types along the route.
