Review the Preliminary Greenway Plan: Neighborhood-Hosted Feedback Session #2
All neighbors are invited to join those interested for a Greenway Preliminary Design Feedback Session on Sunday, June 9 at 2pm at Park Ridge Park Shelterhouse. We will have handouts of the preliminary Neighborhood Greenway design for your review. The purpose of this meeting is to gather new feedback and integrate previous feedback into a report to send to the City for review before their public meeting in July. This is a neighborhood gathering and City staff will not be present.

Walk the Greenway: Neighborhood-Hosted Feedback Session #1 (Neighbor Feedback Report)
All neighbors are invited to join those interested for a Greenway walkthrough on Sunday March 24 at 2pm starting outside Needmore Coffee Roasters. We will walk the Greenway route (from Pete Ellis to the intersection of Glenview and Morningside Drive) and discuss neighbor input and preferences along the route. Wear your walking shoes! This is a neighborhood gathering and City staff will not be present.
What is a Neighborhood Greenway?
Neighborhood Greenways are low-speed, low-volume, sharedspace streets that support high comfort walking and bicycling connections. The City of Bloomington Transportation Plan designates several City streets for the design and installation of Neighborhood Greenway facilities as part of the Priority Bicycle Facilities Network. To design and install Neighborhood Greenways, the City follows the Staff-led Traffic Calming and Neighborhood Greenways process. For information on the Traffic Calming and Greenways process visit: https://www.bloomington.in.gov/tcgp For information on the Bloomington Transportation Plan visit: https://bloomington.in.gov/transportation/plan
What should I expect?
Neighborhood Greenways are an important component of the community’s plans to support an improved quality of life and connectivity. Past Neighborhood Greenway projects have shown an increase in the number of people walking, rolling, and bicycling in the area. Residents may still park and drive on the Neighborhood Greenway. Traffic calming devices such as speed humps and bump outs reduce the likelihood that drivers will speed on these streets.
What are some of the Traffic Calming measures that options we can request be considered?
