Park Hyo Shin discovered his passion for music early, singing trot songs in his family’s restaurant and winning school vocal competitions, including the grand prize at the Bucheon Youth Song Festival. He officially debuted in 1999 and released his first album in January 2000, Things I Can’t Do For You (해줄 수 없는 일), which sold over 446,000 copies and earned him the Best New Artist award at the Golden Disc Awards. That same year, he made his musical theatre debut as the lead in Rock Hamlet.
Over the next decade, Park released a series of acclaimed albums, including Second Story (2001), Time-Honored Voice (2002), Soul Tree (2004), and Neo Classicism (2005). His hits, such as “Far Away,” “Good Person,” and the iconic drama OST “Snow Flower” (눈의 꽃), established him as one of Korea’s premier vocalists. He also contributed to drama soundtracks like Iljimae and performed in musicals including Mozart!. In 2016, he released his 7th studio album, I Am A Dreamer, coinciding with a major concert series of the same name.
Celebrating milestones throughout his career, he held notable concerts such as Gift (2009), War Is Over (2012), Happy Together (2014), and Lovers (2019), often selling out venues and performing encores due to high demand. After completing his military service, he returned with chart-topping releases like “Wild Flower” and continued to evolve as an artist.
