"Football hangs on, headed to quarterfinals" took second place in the Best Sports Story category of the 2023 Wisconsin Newspaper Association's competition.

"Making a name for himself and his school" took third place in the Online Exclusively: Best Sports Story category of the 2023 Milwaukee Press Club competition.

In 2022 Parker Olsen took third place in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's competition category of collegiate journalist of the year. Olsen's wide variety of stories from the year and quality writing are displayed throughout his articles.

"Pushing the limits: Alum moves mountains" took first place in the Writing: Best Sports Story category of the 2022 Milwaukee Press Club competition. The story was a contribution to Olsen taking third place in Collegiate Journalist of the Year at the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's Better Newspaper contest.

"Warhawks crush Central College" took second place in the 2021 Milwaukee Press Club's Best Sports Story competition and was an honorable mention in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's contest.
