SUMMARY
SenseAR is a prototype application designed to host any number of downloadable modular augmented reality applications called "adventures". The Dineladi Cave Adventure is the first module created to demonstrate SenseAR and it's current iteration targets the american middle school classroom (grades 6-8).
Dineladi Cave Adventure is designed to accompany and augment a printable worksheet and leverages the AR capabilities of the Vuforia Engine. Students will follow instructions on the worksheet and scan Image Targets on the page to trigger the application on a mobile device. Some Image Targets are meant to be cut out of the worksheet and their rendered content is meant to interact with rendered content on multiple pages.
DESIGN GOALS
SenseAR
Create a "professionally unfinished" prototype application to communicate SenseAR's vision to stakeholders
A clean, minimal layout to identify SenseAR with emphasis on loaded modules
Module icons are unique and the center of the users focus
Dineladi Cave Adventure (module)
Onscreen introduction and worksheet instructions
Create Image Targets that meet Vuforia's highest quality standards to ensure tracking quality
Handheld cutout Image Targets need to appear above and interact with the "scanner" element
Augmented UI to be easy to read when device is held two feet above the target
INSTRUCTION SHEET
Marketing sheet created to introduce SenseAR as a brand, clarify its use as an "educational tool", introduce its first prototype module "Dineladi Cave Adventure" and instruct stakeholders in its operation.Â
