The Enterprise Fund is to encourage new business start-ups including social enterprise in Park and east Warley.
Applications are welcomed from any persons intending to establish a new business in Calderdale who are residents of Park or East Warley.
Priority will be given to:
Social enterprises such as community interest company’s or co-operatives.
People investing in Park and Warley by taking premises and seeking to employ local people
Enterprise grants will not be available for the following business activity:
Betting shops
Ticket agents
Property landlords
Money lenders and debt factoring
Hire purchase financing
Projects which have as their object the promotion of political or religious views
Social clubs and night clubs
Businesses promoting pornography, nudity, illegal or immoral activities.
Grants are available up to £1000 towards start-up costs or development costs where greater numbers of employed local residents will result from the awarding of this funding.
Grants will also be considered up to £3000 for potential start-up businesses seeking to take premises within the project area who are able to demonstrate the desire to employ people within the project area.
The Inclusive Economy Steering Group is a group of local experts brought together to set the direction for and oversee the Inclusive Economy Project.
Decision-making members either live in Park or Warley, or represent organisations based in the project area.

Applications for the grant will be accepted in the period up to three months prior to starting the business or new business development and up until 12 months after the start date. Grants are fixed at up to £3000 per venture and persons applying may apply only once. Applicants will be required to provide a business plan and undertake a credit check.
