Welcome to Park Path. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Park Path mobile application (the "App"), operated by Park Path ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
To use certain features (such as trip planning, the Passport tracker, and saved packing lists), you'll need to create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate information when signing up
Keep your login credentials secure
Be responsible for all activity under your account
Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised
You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Account → Delete My Account). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Park Path is a trip-planning and informational tool. It is designed to help you prepare for visits to U.S. National Parks by providing:
Permit, reservation, and fee information
Packing checklists and gear suggestions
Weather, alerts, and wildlife safety information
A personal tracker of parks you've visited
Park Path is not a substitute for official park guidance. Conditions in national parks change quickly — trail closures, weather, wildlife activity, and permit availability can shift with little notice. Always check official National Park Service (NPS) sources, ranger stations, and posted signage before and during your visit. In an emergency, always call 911 or the park's official emergency line — do not rely on the App.
We source park data from the National Park Service and other public sources where possible, but we do not guarantee that information in the App is complete, current, or error-free.
The App includes general safety guidance about wildlife encounters, terrain, and seasonal hazards. This information is provided for general educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional guidance, posted park warnings, or your own judgment in the field. You use this information at your own risk, and we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from your reliance on it.
Park Path contains links to third-party websites and services, including booking platforms (such as Expedia and Booking.com), retailers (such as Amazon), and tour providers. Some of these links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase or booking through them, at no additional cost to you.
We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their content, pricing, availability, or your transactions with them. Any purchase you make through a third-party link is governed by that third party's own terms and policies, not ours.
You agree not to:
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its underlying systems
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by law
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App outside of normal use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The App, including its design, features, original illustrations, text, and code, is owned by Park Path and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our permission.
Park data sourced from the National Park Service is generally in the public domain and is not owned by us. Our compilation, organization, and presentation of that data within the App is our own work product.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT INFORMATION PROVIDED (INCLUDING WEATHER, ALERTS, PERMIT AVAILABILITY, OR SAFETY GUIDANCE) WILL BE ACCURATE OR CURRENT AT ALL TIMES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARK PATH AND ITS OWNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE APP, INCLUDING ANY INJURY OR HARM SUSTAINED DURING A NATIONAL PARK VISIT PLANNED USING THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
