Park Path ("we," "our," or "the app") is a national park trip planning app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.
Account Information If you create an account to use features like the Passport tracker, we collect your email address and a securely stored password. Account creation is optional — you can use core trip planning features without signing in.
Trip Planning Information When you use Park Path to plan a trip, we store the information you provide, including selected parks, travel dates, and party size (including whether children are part of your group, to tailor activity suggestions). This information is used solely to generate your itinerary and personalize recommendations.
Passport / Visited Parks Data If you sign in and use the Passport feature, we store which parks you've marked as visited so this information can sync across your devices.
Public Park Data Park Path displays publicly available information from the National Park Service (NPS) API, including park descriptions, alerts, permits, and campground details. This data is not linked to your personal account.
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and personalize the app's trip planning, permit alert, camping, and passport features
Save and sync your trips and visited parks across sessions
Maintain and improve the app's functionality
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Park Path uses the following third-party services to operate:
Supabase, for secure account authentication and data storage
National Park Service (NPS) API, for public park, permit, and campground information
These services may process data on our behalf but do not independently use your information for their own marketing purposes.
Park Path does not currently display third-party advertisements or use advertising tracking services.
We retain your account and trip information for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us using the information below.
Park Path is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Party size fields that reference children's ages are used only to tailor activity suggestions within a trip already planned by an adult user.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
