Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. I also have a secondary appointment (with courtesy) at the Wharton Real Estate Department.
I was previously an Assistant Professor of Finance at Columbia Business School. I received my PhD in finance from M.I.T. and B.A. in economics-mathematics from Columbia University.
My primary research interests are at the intersection of household finance, financial intermediation, real estate, and climate finance. I focus on:
1. the role that property insurance plays in housing, mortgage markets, and the macroeconomy;
2. how property insurance markets should be designed and regulated in the face of rising climate risk;
3. how bank incentives and preferences influence investment in renewables projects.
