Parasolia

Parasolia, (/ˈpɑ/ /ˈɹɑ/ /ˈsoʊ/ /ˈɫiə/ ) officially the The Kingdom of Parasolia, and formally known as the The Chicken Kingdom, is a country located in Nottingham, United Kingdom, covering just over 8000m2 of land. Parasolia shares borders with the United Kingdom all around. Its area extends from southern parts of Goldcrest Road Open Space, near Nuthall Rd. (A610), and streches up north, ending near Silver Birch Close, and a combined area of of 11,635m2 (1.17ha) having a total population of 16 as of April 2026. Parasolia is a Kingdom, with its capital, Fort Rybitwa, being a small section of land, with a handmade swing, a rope, a chair, some bricks and 2 wooden huts, surrounded by the trees and flowers.

Parasolia first settled in the later stages of the 2020 COVID-19 Lockdown, known as The Chicken Team, as a Primary school friendship group, later making it a micronation, on the date, 20th July, 2021, with its capital being declared as Spongetown. The nation at first, mainly consisted of a Polish and English majority, with 100% Christian Population, and 100% Male Population, with its first population peak reaching 5 on the 11th December, 2021. Parasolia, later on was dragged into a civil war against its own people, around the end of 2022, with no peace treaty signed. However, the revolts ceased to exist roughly 3 months after, most likely in December 2022 or January 2023. Ever since the beginning of its history, the nation was ruled by King Rybitwa, with a 3 day exception, where the First Lady of The Chicken Kingdom took over in Mid-2023.

The nation had been long forgotten about during 2024 and the start of 2025, until King Rybitwa, met up with his Secondary school friends, to re-establish the nation. The 26th April, 2025, marked the start of the Kingdom of Parasolia, and its serious attempt to become a recognised micronation, hence the production of the website on the same day. Fort Rybitwa was declared as the capital, and Fort Peek was declared as the fourth city in the county's history, and one 1 of the 3 official cities in the kingdom at the time.

Etymology 

The history of the name, originates from a Polish Scout Team's name, which was inspired by chłopcy od „Parasola” ''Parasol", was the perpetrator of the most famous attacks carried out by the Polish Home Army on people occupying prominent positions in the German terror machine. The Chicken on the Flag, Coat of arms, and the Chicken Kingdom, originates from a self-made primary school game about chasing chickens, later naming the friendship group after it, and soon, the micronation.

The Chicken Kingdom Civil War (2022-2023) (No peace treaty signed until 2025, when The Chicken Kingdom reformed to The Kingdom of Parasolia on the 26th April, 2025.) - Won

Geography 

The Geography of Parasolia, covers 8000m2 of forest and wildlife. Parasolia shares borders with the United Kingdom all around. Its area extends from southern parts of Goldcrest Road Open Space, near Nuthall Rd. (A610), and streches up north, ending near Silver Birch Close, and a combined area of of 8621.8m2 (0.86ha) having a total population of 12, as of November 2025. It has many different parts, including moss, flowers, oak, birch, nettles and more. There are different "mini" biomes scattered across the nation. Such as the Flower Field, the plains, the bamboo forest, and simply the forest.

Politics 

Parasolia is a Semi-Constitutional Monarchy since October 2025. There have been 3 Government and Prime Minister Elections, with 4 running parties in total:

In the current (Third) Government of Parasolia, SPIP claims two seats, which they have won with 55% in the Prime Minister Elections, with Ando and Kacper also gaining a large victory. The Conservative candidates ran separately, with Laventador and Olek both scoring 33% together, equalling two seats. And Oscar, Former Green Party members also gaining a seat. Parasolia+ did not manage to gain a single seat, which is a first for Parasolian Politics for any party
