The purpose of this collaborative project is to develop an instructional solution to close a knowledge gap identified by Educational Technology program coordinators regarding Educational Technologists. Commissioned by these coordinators this instructional unit is designed for prospective Educational Technology students interested in learning more about the field of Educational Technology before applying to their Educational Technology program. This project aims to demystify confusion surrounding the skills, role, and purpose of Educational Technologists as well as examine the historical and scientific roots of Educational Technology.
