Like all in our learning organization, paraeducators are encouraged to participate in optional learning opportunities that support professional growth and expand their skills. These sessions may focus on instructional strategies, student engagement, behavior support, or specialized areas of interest. These offerings are a valuable way to enhance your impact in the classroom and contribute to our culture of lifelong learning.
Logging Optional Opportunities
If you would like to gain inservice hours on your own time, complete as many learning opportunities (training) as you would like listed below. After each, pleaes complete the following:
In order for the Learning Opportunity to count as inservice on your log, you need to complete a Learning Summary after each training. This is a requirement and can be found under the Inservice & Logging page of this website.
After doing so, please include the following on your Para Inservice Log the following:
The title of the training,
Paraeducator Site as the presenter
Number of inservice hours listed as indicated underneath each learning summary.

Learning Opportunity Catalogue
Greenbush Paraeducator Webinars
You will need to login using a Greenbush Plus account.
These Greenbush webinars have been approved by the Directors of Elementary and Secondary Special Services as inservice opportunities. You may round the time up on the presentations to the nearest quarter hour on your Para Inservice Log.
To access the webinars, click on the image. When doing so, you will be directed to a separate webpage. After attending a webinar, please navigate back to the paraeducator site to fill out and submit a learning summary form. Lastly, record the webinar on your Para Inservice Log. You may print out and keep the certificates you earn after each webinar; the Special Services Department does not need a copy.
