Programs Created
He is currently working on the omegasim simulation package written in the Julia programming language. It is for the simulation of composite industrial systems and includes the specification of the Industrial System Description Format (iSDF). omegasim and iSDF are open source and MIT-licensed.
He is the main creator of XTAP which is an electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation program for power systems. It is used as the de-facto standard EMT simulation program in Japan. XTAP stands for eXpandable Transient Analysis Program.
He has created VSTL (Virtual Surge Test Lab.) which is the first general-purpose surge simulation program based on the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. VSTL has been extended and is now maintained by Dr. A. Tatematsu.
He has created a frequency-partitioning fitting method for linear equivalent identification from frequency response data. Its code is available at CodeOcean and IEEEDataPort.
He has created a transfer sunction synthesis method with real poles from frequency response data. Its code is available at CodeOcean and IEEEDataPort.
