                                               At Home in the Universe
Most of my curatorial work is  about sifting through hundreds of thousands of resources to pick out the gems that are telling a story, that are teaching a lesson of other.Books, articles and increasingly online documentaries and movies
Most of the resources I curate come with CC BY license, or other open license allowing me to use the materials in whatever context is required, generally in relation to learning *in the context of education and learning or other open collaborative practice that generally takes place via the internet.


CURATORIAL PHILOSOPHYThere is no end to learning, and ultimately all knowledge is interconnected.Usinc a combination of videos and texts and images, I engage with learnersby covering curricular and extracurricular topics and selecting activities such asvocabulary building, concept mapping, selective reading, knowledge discovery
In the context of educational projects, I select videographic material  and provide a physical and/or virtual contact pointfor learners to explore and engage with a topicIncreasingly, video screenings are documentary, rather than fiction based and are followed by a discussion and workshop like activities where learners are guided through using simple freely available resources to create low cost videography
I generally operate in a context where learners may not be fluent in English, therefore there is a strong language lerning and didactic component in all activities, where emphasis and desired outcome are on language learning and vocabulary acquisition as well as increasing awareness of topics that are relevent to young learner in a global context, such as civic rights, the environment, access to knowledge.
