Next Stop: Master student at Imperial College London, UK
I was born in Beijing, the capital of China. I’m now a undergraduate in School of Renewable Energy, North China Electric Power University. Since I am interested in the research work very much, I applied to join in Prof. Pan’s group. Luckily I was accepted and began to work in 2017.3. Although I handle the experiment very rigorous, I am not such a serious person in my daily life. I prefer to play football and travel in my spare time. Up to now I have been to many countries and cities all over the world.
Next Stop: Master student at University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
Ting Zhao, an optimistic and old boy, always believes that he will be a success. So whenever meeting failures, he is never upset and just tries and tries again. He was not interested in science research at all until he came to the Pan lab, because he used to hold the opinion science research work is very senseless and he never likes it. But now, he usually feels very excited and glad when he finds any new phenomenon from experiments whether they fail or succeed.
Next Stop: Master student at Xi'an Jiaotong University, China
Ruifeng was born in Xuanwei City, Yunnan Province. He is currently a undergraduate student of School of Renewable Energy at North China Electric Power University, majoring in solar energy. He participated in the publication of a research paper in the field of photochemical catalysis. At the same time, he actively involved in the science and technology competitions and got two patents, a software copyright. Currently his research focuses on the design and operation of photovoltaic power plants, and semiconductor photocatalysis.
Next Stop: Master student at UNSW Sydney, Australia
Yang tang was born in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. He, majoring in New Energy Science and Engineering, has completed the four-year undergraduate program of School of Renewable Energy at North China Electric Power University and got his bachelor degree. He applied to join The Pan Lab in September 2018. With the academic support from Professor Pan, he gained considerable knowledge about academic research and experiment. And he is going to further his study in UNSW for his master degree in Photovoltaic from 2019 to 2021.
Born in Daan, Baicheng City in the Northeast of China, Yu is a postgraduate student working on photo(electro)catalytic membranes for water purification. Yu has a remarkable memory. At the age of 5, he has already got the ability to recite the Three Hundred Tang Poems. When Wang was in primary school, he started to be interested in physics and chemistry. Since then, he often tried to do some simple experiments at home, using batteries, wires, metal sheets, little bulbs and salt solutions, etc. He had good feelings of accomplishment when he got his tentative ideas achieved. He believes that he has some ascendency in making scientific research, from which he can get lots of happinesses.
I am a postgraduate student working on lithium battery materials and electrochemical process. I really like my research topic, and I am also keen on the study of mathematics and philosophy because I like to explore the origin of things. I like music, and I won the second prize of choral competition in China. I like to learn a skill until the use of skilled, and now I am more willing to cling to the research direction. For experiment, I often have weird ideas that cross other disciplines, such as combining a lithium battery with artificial intelligence to make a thoughtful battery, which sounds absurd but conceits a lot of interesting stories and a lot of possibilities.
Born in RWANDA, I am a postgraduate student at North China Electric Power University in School of Renewable Energy. I am interested in the research work very much and I join Prof. Pan’s group since January 2018, we started doing experiments related to water treatment and water purification. Now I am making efforts to improve my Chinese language and making friendship with Chinese people. I like to play and watch football, enjoy with my friend and sometimes travel during rest time.
Born in Hongsipu in Ningxia province, a beautiful town at the foot of Luoshan, Wenke got his B.E. in New Energy Science and Engineering from North China Electric Power University in July 2018. Since March 2018, he did his final year project in The Pan Lab . Currently he is a postgraduate student working on the photoelectrocatalytic membrane filtration. Wenke is a big warm boy, gentle and friendly, full of curiosity about the unknown, full of exploratory spirit. Keep improving in the experiment and feel happy from it.
Kaiming, a positive and optimistic boy, always has endless vitality like the sun. No matter what problem he encounters, he won’t give up and eventually will solve it. He has many hobbies, sch as literature, football and swimming etc. After completing the experiment, these interests make life more vibrant. Now his research direction is lithium battery, whether it is for the battery or his own efficiency is life. Currently, his research focus on the electrode material synthesis, battery assembly and performance testing. These experiments make him more rigorous.
