The PFC actively seeks to involve participants from diverse perspectives, interests, and expertise. This includes State and Federal agencies, community non-profits, County Commissioners, other elected officials, contractors, economic development interests, forest industry representatives, environmental groups, Tribes, landowners, concerned community members, motorized and non-motorized recreation interests, and local businesses. The full group consists of participating (or voting) members, agency partners and legislative staff, and community guests and observers.
Tom Dabrowski serves on the Panhandle Forest Collaborative as a non-motorized recreation representative and is co-chair of the Recreation Subcommittee. He is dedicated to working with all recreation groups to help the Forest Service provide recreation opportunities for forest users. Tom is a member of the Board of Directors of the Idaho Trails Association (ITA).
John Finney represents motorized recreation interests for the Panhandle Forest Collaborative, and is also a member of the Sandpoint Winter Riders Association.
Alan Harper represents the Idaho Forest Group, a company that has encouraged collaboration for nearly two decades. Alan supports the Panhandle Forest Collaborative in their mission and their dedication to helping the USDA Forest Service create healthy forest’s for recreation, timber production, and wildlife habitat for today and the future.
Liz Johnson-Gebhardt has been the Executive Director of the Priest Community Forest Connection (PCFC) for the past 23 years. The PCFC works with many different agencies to improve natural resource resiliency and to educate our youth towards the same goal. Liz has been a member of the Panhandle Forest Collaborative since its inception 14 years ago.
Mike Petersen has been working to protect and restore National Forests in this region for over 30 years. He believes collaboration and building relationships can be a helpful strategy to help both forests and nearby communities. He has been part of the Panhandle Forest Coalition since it began.
Erin Plue is the North Idaho Waterways Project Manager for Trout Unlimited. She works to improve our waterways for cold-water trout and all the other wild aquatic species. The PFC brings her partnership opportunities and project ideas for stream restoration work. It also brings her great joy to meet with such a diverse group to work on building community and improve all the uses our national forests have to offer.
Brad Smith is the North Idaho Director of the Idaho Conservation League and a founding member of the Panhandle Forest Collaborative. He works to protect public lands, fish and wildlife in northern Idaho.
Laura Wolf is a representative for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, and enjoys being able to represent Idaho’s fish and wildlife resources in the collaborative process. She provides general information and data on a variety of wildlife species to help the collaborative make decisions during the USFS project planning process.
Eric Nave is a Forester with Idaho Forest Group. He grew up in Northern Idaho and has an interest in the issues pertaining to these landscapes and enjoys being part of a diverse group that plays a role in shaping the management of the forest. He is also an avid recreator on public lands.
