The Municipal Operations Office (MOO) of San Fabian served as the paymaster during the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) payout held on February 19-20, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. onwards at the De Venecia Sports Center, San Fabian, Pangasinan.
The activity was conducted in response to the effects of Bagyong Uwan, which caused significant damage to homes and livelihoods in the municipality. A total of 2,891 affected households received financial assistance under the program. There were 2,046 partially damaged households that were granted Php 5,265 each, while 845 totally damaged households received Php 10,179 each.
The payout was led by Jeany Cayabas Buteng-Dayag, Social Welfare Officer II (SWO II) of DRRRMD Region I, in coordination with the MOO staff, the San Fabian SLPA, selected Social Pension staff, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and the LGU San Fabian staff.
The Emergency Cash Transfer program aims to provide immediate financial relief to families still recovering from the typhoon’s effects. The assistance enabled beneficiaries to address accumulated expenses, continue repairing their homes, restore their livelihoods, and meet essential daily needs such as food, medicines, and other household necessities.
The initiative further strengthened coordination among local government units and partner agencies, reaffirming their commitment to delivering timely, efficient, and responsive social protection services to the community during times of crisis.
