CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE IN NANOBIOTRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH (CENTRE)

The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Anna University, BIT Campus, Tiruchirappalli started the CENTRE following the deliberations and recommendations of Nano Bio Collaborative International Conference 2013 held during 27th - 29th June 2013 after considering the interdisciplinary research strength and achievements of the faculty members of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Anna University, BIT Campus.

NATIONAL FACILITY FOR DRUG DEVELOPMENT (NFDD)

The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology has been granted a sum of six crores from DST, New Delhi to establish a National Facility on Drug Development for Academia, Pharmaceutical and Allied industries. The national facility is equipped with well sophisticated equipment such as Zeta Potential Analyzer, FTIR, CO2 Incubator, Gel Documentation, Gel Electrophoresis etc. for advanced research in drug discovery and development.

NATIONAL FACILITY FOR BIO- ACTIVE PEPTIDES FROM MILK (NFBP)

The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology has granted a sum of Rs. 167.16 lakhs from DST (GoI), New Delhi for creating a second national facility “National Facility for Bioactive Peptides from milk (NFBP)” in collaboration with National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Bengaluru. The facility is aimed towards the isolation of novel bioactive peptides from milk and effective delivery of peptides using novel delivery systems for various therapeutic applications.
