“PANACEA'18” is the National level Technical symposium with expert lectures by eminent scientist/researchers and pioneers in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology organized by our department & APTS every year. APTS believes that this symposium will be useful for the students of life sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry etc., Students/Researchers/ Faculty from various Universities and Engineering colleges are invited to participate in technical and non-technical events of our symposium.
ANNA UNIVERSITY - BIT CAMPUS
University College of Engineering – BIT campus has been established as a Technical Institute under Anna University, Chennai by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It offers avariety of UG, PG and research programmes with an approximate of 3000 students in the campus. The Institution works towards developing partnerships with industries and academic institutes to provide quality education and opportunities for entrepreneurial development. The main objective of the institute is to generate a horde of highly creative professionals, who can contribute not only to the Human Resource Development but also to Nation building exercise. BIT has carved a niche for itself in providing technical education in the disciplines that are rare of their kind in our country with a high level of competence since 1999.

Department of Pharmaceutical Technology offers a unique B.Tech in Pharmaceutical Technology, M.Tech in Biopharmaceutical Technology, M.S. (By research) and Ph.D. programmes. Our faculty members have received funds from various funding agencies of the government viz UGC, DST, DBT, CSIR, DRDO, ICMR, TNSCST etc.,
