About Me

About Me

I am a trained counsellor, holding a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, membership of the BACP and public liability insurance. I formally worked in education and I live in a family with autism. I have published a book about my experiences of parenting my autistic son, now an adult. (See below )

I am also an experienced bereavement supporter and supervisor for both adults and children and young people, having volunteered with Cruse Bereavement Care for a number of years. My role  includes dealing with complex cases such as suicide, multiple losses and sudden or traumatic death. Additionally, I have a particular interest in miscarriage and infertility.

I have worked as a volunteer on a miscarriage helpline, a University Nightline Service, at a local foodbank and in pastoral care in a local church.

I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw from different approaches, including, person-centred, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), relaxation and mindfulness. This allows me to treat each client as an individual, exploring ways of working that suit you and meet your needs. Why not give it a try?
