My talk entitled, "Empowered Enrollment: Executive Functioning Skills for Post-Secondary Success" was accepted for InDepth 2025 on February 21! My home institution, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville was well-represented! My slides are provided for reference.
I was an invited panelist at the SIUE Continuous Improvement Conference on February 14, 2025. The panel featured topics such as Artificial Intelligence innovations in teaching and learning, accessibility, and academic integrity. Keynote address given by Dr. Jennifer Friberg of Illinois State University.
I was an invited panelist at the WCET/SAN "Distance Ed at a Crossroads: The Changing Landscape of New Regulations" in July 2024. The panel was titled, "How to Lead From the Top and Within" and I gave remarks related to collaborating and fostering positive relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators to ensure instructional quality and compliance.
I gave a talk at the 2024 Learning Exchange titled, "Empowered Enrollment: Getting What You Paid for in Higher Ed." This event was presented by Black in L&D in partnership with GrowDuctive Consulting. The EMPOWERED U handout gives tips and the presentation slides are below.
I presented at the 2023 Focus on Teaching & Technology Conference at University of Missouri St. Louis on October 6, 2023. My topic focused on ways students and university faculty, staff, and administrators can mitigate academic hazing during the students' adjustment to higher education.
I recently gave a talk for NASASPS -(National Association of State Supervisors and Administrators of Private Schools) with my colleague Jacob Fling. We discussed the importance of "crossovers" in higher education administration using our areas of expertise which include instructional design and compliance.
